The Asbestos Floor Tile Removal Process
Our Asbestos floor tile removal services include safely removing and disposing of floor tiles containing asbestos fibres. Asbestos floor tiles were commonly used until the 1990s and may still be present in older buildings today. When asbestos floor tiles are in good condition and unlikely to get broken or damaged, they are not a significant health risk. However, when the tiles break or are disturbed, such as during renovation or demolition work, asbestos fibres can become airborne and are a health hazard.

Safe asbestos floor tile removal involves taking steps to ensure the effective removal of the tiles. We send a qualified asbestos surveyor to assess the floor tiles to see whether they do contain asbestos. It is not always possible to spot asbestos visually, so we may remove a small tile sample for lab testing. If the tiles have asbestos, our removal team will take them away safely.
Safe Removal
We carefully remove the tiles using specialised tools and methods to minimise the release of asbestos fibres. During removal, we seal the area around the floor tiles with plastic sheets to stop the spread of fibres. The removed tiles are placed into special asbestos waste bags for their correct disposal at a licensed hazardous waste facility.
